In countries of Asia, Africa and Middle East these high purity alloys are widely used. The Silver used in making jewelry items is mostly sterling silver ie. 92.5 % pure silver. Apart from these major materials which are used in jewelry others include wood, natural animal substances such as bone and ivory, glass, such as fused-glass or enamel, plastics, natural and polymer clay.
